Surface Mount or Recess Mount?


Easy way to mount on concrete walls:

Screws must project into wall studs for maximum security.

For easier mounting on concrete or concrete block walls, 2" x 4" lumber can be bonded to wall alongside windows with high grade construction adhesive.  Bars then easily mount on 2" x 4"s.

Installation Instructions Inside Package
In most cases, surface mounted Burglar Bars are easier to install because the screws are easier to drive.  Surface mounting also makes screws more difficult to work on from outside the house by a potential intruder who might break the window and attempt to remove the screws.
